What do I do if I didn't get an email for the address, what to bring and how to prepare for ceremony?

If you do not receive an email from us that means most likely you did not leave us an email or it went to spam, or promotions. Check your spam or promotions first.  Contact us to receive the info if you still need it.

Will this be indoors or outdoors?

This ceremony is sometimes indoors and somtimes outdoors. Check the event details.

What is actually in the cacao drink?

Accepted Answer

Cacao is pure chocolate that has not been processed nor hybridized and no sugar or  anything else has been added. It is in its pure unadulterated form.  However when we make our cacao drink we add purified water, coconut milk, vanilla and other sometimes other spices such as stevia, cinnamon, a pinch of salt,  cardamon, maca, ashwaganda.

Do I have to drink the cacao?

This is optional. No you do not.

Do I need to bring anything?

Accepted Answer

Yes, please bring a yoga mat or something to lie on. Please do not bring double size mats  Please do not bring air mattresses.  Please bring a water bottle or something to drink. No refreshments are available.  You can bring an eye mask if you wish.  No alcohol or drugs 8 hours prior to ceremony.

Can I take cacao with antidepressants (MAOI, SSRI, etc.)?

Accepted Answer

Safe with SSRIs. Avoid or use extreme caution with MAOIs (possible interaction)

Can I eat or drink before ceremony or during?

Accepted Answer

Please do not eat anything heavy at least a couple hours before ceremony or eat fruit or something light.  It is best to have cacao on an empty stomach. Do what is best for you. No eating during ceremony please.

What’s the difference between cacao and cocoa?

Accepted Answer

Cacao = raw or minimally processed. Cocoa = roasted (and often Dutch processed/alkalized)

Why does cacao make me emotional or “open my heart”?

Accepted Answer

Contains phenylethylamine (PEA), anandamide, and serotonin boosters that temporarily lift mood and empathy

Can I bring my pet?

All service animals are welcome but not pets. Service animals that are calm and do not bark are welcome as this can affect the psyche of the participants.

Is ceremonial cacao safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Accepted Answer

Small amounts (10–20 g) are generally considered safe; high doses are not recommended.

Is there caffeine?

Accepted Answer

Theobromine is the main stimulant in cacao and chocolate, and it’s the compound most responsible for the "chocolate buzz" (increased heart rate, mild stimulation, vasodilation, etc. It is known to bring blood flow to the heart.

Does cacao raise or lower blood pressure?

Accepted Answer

Short-term: slight increase (theobromine). Long-term: flavonoids usually lower it.​

Will cacao make me fail a drug test? Is this a psychedelic?

Accepted Answer

No it is not a drug nor a psychedelic. Theobromine and caffeine do not show up on standard drug tests.

Life is a journey, come as many times as you desire to open your heart, connect and get clarity in your next steps.

What should I do to prepare for ceremony?

Right when you say yes to ceremony you will start the journey but you need an intention, a direction of where you want to go. So, to prepare for ceremony, start thinking of why you want to come, what wishes do you have, what would you like to see change in your life. You can write it down or remember it in your head.

Can I do drugs before or during ceremony?

Drugs such as cannabis or other drugs or medicine (unless you need it) are not suggested as we want to have Cacao as the only plant medicine during the ceremony.

What if I can't make it anymore? Can I get a refund?

All sales are finale but tickets can be transferred.  Please contact us and let us know the new name you are transferring it to and send them a picture of your payment.

What if I get a headache after drinking Cacao?

Cacao can be dehydrating, remember to drink a lot of water after the ceremony.

How long does it take for me to feel the effects of Cacao after I drink it? And how long does it last?

Accepted Answer

Cacao will take about 20 min or so to take effect.  It is very subtle.  You might feel a little happier, songs sound better and you are more connected to the music, trees might even look greener and skies more blue, your heart might feel more open, you might have clarity like you didn't have before.  Or you might not feel much if you aren't aware of your body and you are closed and need to reconnect with you body, mind and surroundings.

Cacao can last all day.

What are some after ceremony tips?

Ceremony can be very profound and life changing.  Please be kind to yourself after ceremony.  Write down some key moments you experienced in a journal.  Drink a lot of water after ceremony because Cacao can be dehydrating. Try to stay away from social media , people or news that might  negatively impact you. You might be shining bright and feeling lighter and so keep that feeling by being mindful of your surroundings and what you are doing.
