Discover the Food of the Gods

Pure Ceremonial-Grade Cacao

Theobroma Cacao — ancient Greek for “Food of the Gods” Born deep in the Amazon rainforest, revered for millennia by Mayan and Aztec shamans, this is chocolate in its most sacred, unadulterated form. This is not candy. This is medicine for the heart, mind, and spirit.

Pure Ceremonial-Grade Cacao

Ceremonial grade cacao (sometimes called ceremonial cacao) is a minimally processed, 100% pure form of cacao made from high-quality cacao beans, typically heirloom varieties like Criollo or Trinitario, and used primarily in spiritual, meditative, or heart-opening rituals and ceremonies.

Unlike regular cocoa powder, baking chocolate, or commercial hot chocolate mixes, ceremonial grade cacao retains the whole bean—including its natural cacao butter (fats), antioxidants, minerals (like magnesium, iron, and zinc), and bioactive compounds (such as theobromine for gentle energy, anandamide for bliss/mood elevation, and flavonoids for heart and brain health). This creates a richer, creamier texture when prepared as a drink, with an earthy, slightly bitter, complex flavor profile that can include fruity, nutty, or floral notes depending on the origin.

Key differences in Cacao, Cacao Powder, Commercial Chocolate

  • Ceremonial Grade Cacao — Whole paste/block (nothing added or removed except the outer husk). Minimally processed (light or no high-heat roasting, careful fermentation to preserve nutrients). Often sourced ethically from small farms in regions like Guatemala, Peru, Ecuador, or Colombia, with intention and respect for indigenous traditions (inspired by ancient Maya/Aztec practices where cacao was "food of the gods" for ceremonies).

  • Regular Cacao Powder / Cocoa Powder — Beans are heavily roasted at high temperatures, pressed to remove most cacao butter (leaving defatted powder), and often alkalized (Dutch-processed) for milder taste. This strips away many nutrients, fats, and the full energetic experience—great for baking or smoothies, but not for deep ceremonial or medicinal use.

  • Commercial Chocolate — Further processed with added sugar, milk, emulsifiers, and other ingredients, diluting the pure benefits.

How to have your own mini cacao ceremony at home

If you haven't been able to make it to one our of ceremonies, you can have a mini White Wolfe Experience-inspired mini cacao ceremony at home.  Of course it won't be exactly the same because we do some very powerful exercises along with drinking the cacao.  But, here is the recipe, crafted for a potent, heart-opening, consciousness-expanding session you can have in your own home.  We emphasize purity, intention, and minimal processing for maximum spiritual impact.

1 tablespoon of high-quality ceremonial-grade cacao (approximately 10-15g, a gentle yet effective micro-to-light ceremonial dose for sensitive individuals or daily/weekly home rituals) Start low (10-20g) for profound heart connection without overwhelm. This amount opens the heart, boosts presence, and supports deep meditation or breathwork—ideal for a personal "White Wolfe" style experience of awakening, release, and elevated consciousness and seriously I feel like I'm happier after drinking cacao. But make sure it's ceremonial grade not cheap hot chocolate laced with sugar.

Ingredients (for 1 sacred serving)

  • 1 tablespoon White Wolfe Experience ceremonial-grade cacao

  • 6-8 oz (about 180-240 ml) liquid: Heat filtered water to near-boil, or for a creamier, more luxurious texture (highly recommended for a creamier treat,  to add almond, oat, coconut, or cashew milk after adding the water or not using any water and just milk.

  • Natural zero-calorie sweetener to taste: Stevia (pure extract, a few drops) or monk fruit (granulated or liquid)—keeps it clean, blood-sugar stable, and aligned with optimal health principles

  • Optional enhancements (add ½-1 tsp each, or to taste—start low to preserve the cacao's pure medicine):

    • MCT oil (for sustained energy and ketone boost)

    • Grass-fed butter or ghee (classic "bulletproof" style for creaminess and fat-soluble nutrient absorption)

    • Creatine (for cognitive/muscle support if you're active)

    • Collagen (for skin, joints, and gut integrity)

    • Mushroom powder (e.g., reishi or lion's mane for adaptogenic depth)

    • Ashwagandha (for stress mastery and cortisol balance)

    • Maca (for hormone harmony and vitality)

    • Vanilla

    • Cinnamon (ground Ceylon cinnamon recommended for its milder, sweeter profile and higher antioxidant content; or a small cinnamon stick for stirring/infusing)

    •

Preparation Steps (Make it a Ritual)

  1. Set your sacred space — Dim lights, light a candle, play low-frequency sound journeys or any spritual music and sit in a comfortable space.  Ground yourself: state your intention aloud (e.g., "I open my heart to truth, release illusions, and awaken fully"). Or if you drink it every day like me, I don't make it a "ceremony" but I just bless it, make a wish and drink it throughout the day. It's up to you to make it as ceremonial as you want.

  2. Heat the base — In a small pot over medium heat, bring your chosen liquid (water or plant milk) to just below boiling (around 170-180°F/75-80°C— then add the cacao or if it's just one cup of cacao, I heat up water, pour it over my cacao and other ingredients then add the milk if you want, Never fully boil cacao, as high heat diminishes its delicate compounds and spirit).

  3. Infuse the medicine — Turn off the heat. Add the 1 tablespoon cacao directly into the hot liquid. Stir vigorously with a whisk, spoon, or frother for 1-2 minutes until fully melted and frothy. This incorporates air, creates that signature creamy texture, and activates the cacao's theobromine for gentle stimulation and bliss.

  4. Sweeten & enhance — Stir in your stevia or monk fruit to taste (start minimal—cacao's natural bitterness is part of the medicine). Add any optionals now; whisk again to blend seamlessly.

  5. Final touch — Pour into your favorite ceremonial mug. For extra froth use a frother.

How to Experience It

Sip slowly over for 15 min to however long you want, eyes closed, breathing deeply. I drink it for hours during my day.  Allow the cacao to work—expect gentle warmth in the chest, heightened awareness, emotional flow, and clarity. Pair with journaling, breathwork, or meditation. Effects build subtly but profoundly, lasting 2-4+ hours.

This is pure, potent plant wisdom—no fluff, no hype—just confirmed ceremonial practices for real awakening. Honor the cacao, honor yourself.   Enjoy your White Wolfe Experience.  For a deeper experience I invite you to a Cacao Ceremony with me, Christina White Wolfe
